What are saved reports, schema builds, and crawl pages?

Every Ranksphere plan includes monthly allowances for saved reports, schema builds, and website crawl pages.

These allowances determine how many reports you can generate, how many new schemas you can save, and how many website pages Ranksphere can check during a crawl.

They're separate from your scan credits and AI credits.

Understanding the three allowances

Each allowance has its own monthly limit based on your subscription plan.

Your allowances reset at the beginning of each billing cycle, and you can purchase additional packs if you need more.

How many are included in each plan?

The number of saved reports, schema builds, and crawl pages available to your workspace depends on your Ranksphere plan.

For example, if you're on the Starter plan, your workspace includes 15 saved reports, 5 schema builds, and 500 website crawl pages each month.

Each allowance is counted separately. Using a schema build doesn't reduce your saved reports or crawl pages.

How do saved reports work?

A saved report is counted whenever you generate and save a new report in Ranksphere.

You can create reports to review business performance, track rankings, check citations, and share results with clients.

What counts as a saved report?

For example, if your plan includes 15 saved reports, you can generate 15 reports using your monthly allowance.

Once you've generated a report, you can return to it, download it, or share it without using another saved report.

If you need more reports after using your allowance, you can purchase an additional pack.

How do schema builds work?

Schema builds are used when you save new schema markup created with Ranksphere's Schema Generator.

The Schema Generator creates structured data that helps search engines understand information about a business.

What counts as a schema build?

A schema build is only counted when you save a new schema.

For example, if you generate schema for a business and copy the code to use on its website, you won't use a schema build.

If you save that schema to the Generated schemas list, it counts as one build.

You can return to that saved schema later, make changes, and save it again without using another build.

How do website crawl pages work?

Website crawl pages are used when Ranksphere checks individual pages on your website during a technical crawl.

A website crawl helps you identify technical issues that may need attention.

What counts as a crawl page?

Each website page checked during a crawl uses one page from your available allowance.

For example, if Ranksphere checks 100 pages during a website crawl, it uses 100 crawl pages.

The number of pages you can check depends on your remaining allowance.

If your workspace has used all its available crawl pages, you'll need to purchase more or wait for the next monthly allowance.

When do monthly allowances reset?

Your included allowances reset at the beginning of each billing cycle.

This is your monthly renewal date, based on the monthly anniversary of when your workspace signed up.

For example, if your billing cycle starts on the 15th of the month, your monthly allowances refill at the beginning of the next billing cycle.

This applies to:

• Saved reports
• Schema builds
• Website crawl pages

Your monthly allowances are separate from any additional packs you've purchased.

How to check your remaining allowances

You can see how many saved reports, schema builds, and website crawl pages you have available from your workspace settings.

Steps to check your usage

1. Go to Settings.
2. Select Credit Usage.
3. Review your remaining allowances.

You'll also find your scan credits and AI credits in the same section.

Checking your usage can help you decide whether you need to purchase additional packs or move to a plan with higher limits.

How to buy additional reports, schema builds, or crawl pages

If you've used your monthly allowance, you can purchase additional packs without upgrading your subscription.

Top-up packs are available on paid plans.

How to purchase an add-on pack

1. Go to Settings → Billing.
2. Open the Add-ons tab.
3. Find the pack you want to purchase.
4. Complete the purchase.

You can also purchase packs directly from Settings → Credit Usage.

Only the Workspace Owner can purchase additional packs or change the subscription plan.

When does Ranksphere use purchased packs?

Ranksphere always uses your included monthly allowance first.

Purchased packs are used only after you've used the allowance included with your plan.

For example, if you still have saved reports available in your monthly plan, Ranksphere will use those before deducting from a purchased report pack.

This also applies to schema builds and website crawl pages.

How long do purchased packs last?

Purchased packs for saved reports, schema builds, and website crawl pages are valid for 30 days from the purchase date.

This expiry period is separate from your monthly billing cycle.

Do unused purchased packs roll over?

No.

These three types of packs always expire after 30 days, regardless of your subscription plan.

This rule applies to every plan, including Growth and Agency.

For example, if you purchase a pack of 50 saved reports and use only 20 during the 30-day period, the remaining 30 reports expire at the end of that period.

They won't carry over into another 30-day period.

Tip: Purchase additional packs when you're ready to use them so you can make the most of their 30-day validity.

How is this different from scan credits and AI credits?

Scan and AI credit packs have different rollover rules.

On Growth and Agency plans, 50% of the unused balance from purchased scan and AI credit packs carries over into the next 30-day period.

Saved reports, schema builds, and crawl pages don't have this rollover benefit.

Your regular monthly allowances are separate from purchased packs and refill at the beginning of each billing cycle.

What happens when I use all my allowance?

If you reach the available limit for saved reports, schema builds, or website crawl pages, Ranksphere stops the action before it exceeds your allowance.

You'll see a prompt to purchase more or upgrade your plan.

For example, if you don't have enough crawl pages remaining to run a website check, Ranksphere won't continue beyond your available limit.

You can choose to:

• Purchase an additional usage pack on a paid plan.
• Upgrade to a plan with a higher monthly allowance.
• Wait until your included allowance refills at the start of your next billing cycle.

You can check your remaining usage under Settings → Credit Usage.

Who can use and manage these allowances?

Workspace roles determine who can generate reports, save schemas, run website crawls, and purchase additional packs.

Owners

Workspace Owners can use these features, check usage, purchase additional packs, and change subscription plans.

Admins

Admins can generate reports, save schemas, and run website crawls.

They can also open Settings → Credit Usage to check remaining balances and manage existing credit allocations across locations.

However, Admins cannot purchase packs or change subscription plans.

Members

Members can use the available reporting, schema, and website crawling features.

They cannot purchase additional packs or change subscription plans.

Guests

Guests cannot generate reports, save schema builds, or run website crawls.

They also cannot purchase packs or change plans.

Important: Billing is available only to the Workspace Owner. This permission cannot be granted to Admins or other roles.

Does copying or downloading schema use a build?

No.

Copying and downloading schema markup don't use a schema build.

A build is only counted when you save a new schema to the Generated schemas list.

Does editing an existing schema use another build?

No.

You can edit and save changes to an existing schema without using another build.

Does viewing or downloading an existing report use another saved report?

No.

Once you've generated a report, you can view, download, or share it again without using another saved report.

What happens when I reach my monthly limit?

Ranksphere stops the action before exceeding your available allowance and prompts you to purchase additional usage or upgrade your plan.

Your existing work isn't silently interrupted by extra usage charges.

Can I buy additional packs without upgrading?

Yes.

Paid plans can purchase additional saved reports, schema builds, and crawl pages from Settings → Billing → Add-ons or Settings → Credit Usage.

Where can I see how many I have left?

Go to Settings → Credit Usage.

You'll see your remaining allowances alongside your scan credits and AI credits.

Can Admins purchase additional packs?

No.

Only the Workspace Owner can purchase packs or change subscription plans.

Admins can view remaining usage and manage existing credit allocations, but they cannot access billing purchases.

Can Guests use these features?

No.

Guests cannot generate reports, save schemas, or run website crawls.
